Key Facts about the Bainbridge Island City Hall Community Solar Project:

On December 14th 2011, the Bainbridge Island City Council voted unanimously to approve the Site Lease and Solar Services Agreement with Community Solar Solutions (CSS), a subsidiary of Community Energy Solutions. The Agreement was signed on December 23^rd, and allows CSS to develop a Community Solar Project at City Hall that is capable of generating up to seventy-five kilowatts of electricity. The system will be owned by individuals and businesses. The City will receive rental payments from the project.  Community Solar is a means for people to go solar who otherwise could not at their home or business, due to shading or other barriers. It is a means for people to invest locally.
